Logitech has recently introduced the first solar powered wireless keyboard, ending the need to buy battery after battery for your wireless computer hardware. Battery technology has progressed a lot over the decades, but despite the creation of ultra-super-high-performance and long-lasting batteries, they are still quite expensive and always seem to die suddenly. Logitech has eliminated this inconvenience with a sleekly designed and user-friendly product.

The solar panels at the top of the keyboard recharge the system whenever there is light available. And of course Logitech has created a high performance device: even in complete darkness, the keyboard will continue to work for three months. That is an impressive feat for such a new design.

With plug-and-play capability, all you need is a computer with a USB port (which is all of them) and you are ready to use Logitech’s solar powered keyboard. The designers have even made the effort to go eco-friendly. The keyboard comes in a fully recyclable box and the product itself is made of PVC-free plastics, reducing the carbon footprint of the keyboard, but still built to last.
