Christmas Stocking

December 10th, 2008 BY jennl | No Comments

Love
to hang Christmas Stockings above the fireplace but looking for a
more eco-friendly approach to it? How about knitting your own
Christmas Stockings? Knitting your own Christmas Stockings, provided
you can knit or know someone who can, is quite rewarding and much
more meaningful to the heart. In this post I have provided a
Christmas Stocking pattern for knitting by Nicky Epstein. To read the
full project online please take a look at it online. Simply replace the regular yarn with eco-friendly yarn. Take a
look at this pattern, and I wish you the best of luck! Enjoy all!

long.

Materials:
Worsted-weight
yarn Wintuk® (100% Acrilan Acrylic, 230 yards per 3-1/2 oz.

not included: Knitting needle size 8 (5mm) or whatever size needed to
get correct gauge and size 5 (3.5mm) double-pointed needles for
motifs; Crochet hook size G/6 (4.25mm); yarn needle.

Gauge: 16 sts and 24
rows = 4″ in St st on larger needles. To save time, take time to
check your gauge.

*Yarn requirements suggested
in this leaflet are adequate. If you make any adjustments in length
or width, or if your stitch gauge differs from the recommendation,
then the yarn amount may not be sufficient.
