Bowl Handcrafted with Recycled Wrappers Large Fair Trade
Dimensions: 5 ½” tall, including a 1” pedestal, 11” diameter. We use these bowls for everything – arriving mail, dog toys, fresh fruit, Legos, knitting… although not all together (we have a lot of bowls). Ingeniously hand-woven of carefully washed, dried and cut-up reclaimed food wrappers, these baskets are super tough, heavier than they look and moisture (i.e. dog slime) resistant. They are easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Differing only in diameter (measuring across the top of the bowl), all stand on a 1” pedestal.

Zulu Open Bowl
Made of ilala palm by Ilala Weavers of South Africa, these large baskets in natural colors are a great accent to any decor. The baskets average 15 in diameter and approximately 6.5 deep, ample for any fruit bowl. However sizes do vary and deeper baskets may be slightly smaller in diameter while flatter baskets tend to be larger in diameter.

Grenware Large Bowl
These grenware large bowls by ecosource are made primarily from grain husks. They are lightweight with a similar feel to plastic, but much more attractive and petroleum free. They are durable enough for outdoor use, yet elegant enough for the dining room. The lighter brown bowl (natural) is the natural color without dyes or bleaches; the dark chocolate brown color (cocoa) is achieved through the addition of ground coconut shell. The bowls can be cleaned in the dishwasher, however, this may shorten their lifespan somewhat and etching may occur with regular dishwasher use. They are not recommended for the microwave (reportedly, if you leave them in too long you will detect a burling smell). According to ecosource, the bowls will last about five years before showing wear and tear, at which time they can be composted. This large deep bowl measures 8.5 inches in diameter.
