Something that a lot of people don’t take into consideration is that they can build and remodel their home in an eco-friendly way. The reason why most people don’t consider this is because they don’t know they can. One reason for remodeling and building the green way becoming so popular among do-it-yourself people is due to watching the ever popular TV channel HGTV and or researching such things online.

By now I’m sure you are probably thinking that this sounds like a great idea but where are you suppose to find and buy green products for remodeling and building? Believe it or not there are many, many places that sell products and materials for green remodeling and building.

Have a look at the following places for green remodeling and building supplies:

Greenmaker – Greenmaker carries supplies for both large and small projects. They offer supplies for floor, wall, electrical, kitchen, bath, plumbing, windows, etc. Their selection is fairly large.

Green Building Supply – Green Building Supply offers items for air and water purification, natural flooring, non-toxic finishes, eco-countertops, environmentally friendly cleaners, wool carpeting, sealants and adhesives, etc.

Low Impact Living – Low Impact Living has a great page on their website, which can help people find services offered for green building, such as plumbing, tile, pest control, building and contractors, etc.

Bettencourt Green Building Supplies – Bettencourt Green Building Supplies line of products include sheet products (such as bamboo plywood), wall treatments, flooring, and countertops. In order to find out prices, etc. click on the “ordering info” link on the upper left hand side of their webpage. On the “ordering info” page you will find a local phone number, toll free phone number, fax number, and e-mail address in order to contact Bettencourt Green Building Supplies. They also provide two e-mail addresses for sample requests.

Green Depot – Green Depot offers an extremely large selection of supplies for green remodeling and building. Almost anything you want they have it. They offer products for both residential and commercial. Personally speaking, I would compare Green Depot to Home Depot due to how much they offer. To shop their online store simply click on the “shop” button at the top of their webpage. They have 15 physical locations/distribution hubs that service the eastern U.S. From Maine to Virginia.
