There have been a lot of great books written on the subject of sustainable energy and development. I know this because I own quite a few of them. I know that there are a lot of great thinkers on the subject that are able to crank out some genuinely interesting prose on the subject. Among these great thinkers, many people don’t really think too much about Alexis Madrigal. While he may not be one of the most well-known writers about energy topics in the world, he is surely one of the most well-respected thinkers on the subject.
In Powering the Dream, Madrigal delves deeply into the history of the renewable energy movement and gets into the options we have moving forward. It’s written in a very accessible style that I think will be great for people that don’t have a whole lot of grounding in the renewable energy arena. I think it will also raise a lot of questions for further thought in people that have generally found themselves to be opposed to renewable energy investment. This is a great opportunity to both learn about renewable energy yourself and maybe raise the issue with family or friends to help move the dialogue forward on this important issue.
If you are interested in learning about the book, I’ve attached a couple different links to where you can buy it. I know that not everyone deals with Amazon, so I’ve also attached some other links from other stores where the book can be purchased.
