While there are plenty of things that can be found that are environmentally friendly, such as cleaning products, makeup, clothing, travel products, etc. there are also some things for man’s best friend that not everyone thinks of.

Some great eco-friendly dog products include Organic Hemp Dog Shampoo, Organic Dog Flea Shampoo, Herbal Flea Collar, Natural Flea Powder, Insect Bite Protection Spray, Shiny Coat Conditioning Shampoo, etc.

In need of a gift or two for someone’s dog? Try an organic hemp collar and or leash from Rawganique, which is made from certified organic European hemp. Another great idea is a travel bed made for dogs, which is water proof and portable, making it easy to cart around. If a travel pet bed really doesn’t interest you then chances are a nice comfortable dog blanket will. The great thing about dog blankets is that they can be used for so many different things. Dog blankets work great when trying to keep dog hair from off of the furniture as well as the seats in a vehicle. Dog toys can make great gifts for your dog or someone else’s dog, which is why Sckoon offers an organic cotton bone for dogs. This organic cotton bone is available in two different colors, red and navy, and is also available in two different sizes, small and large.

In closing of this post I would like to leave everyone with a recipe on how to make dried pet shampoo. What makes this shampoo so great is if you have a dog who is hard to give a bath to due to fear of water, size, etc. it makes it a lot easier to bathe your dog.

Follow this simple recipe for dried pet shampoo, which can also be viewed at ehow.com:

Begin making a dried pet shampoo by splitting a vanilla bean. Place the split vanilla bean into a large container filled with 1 quart of orris root powder.

Cover the container, preferably with a lid, and allow it to sit for one week.

Sprinkle the dried pet shampoo over your pet and brush the shampoo in thoroughly. Once the dried pet shampoo has been brushed in thoroughly go ahead and brush it out.

Enjoy everyone!

Glad to see that people are paying attention to what they’re doing with their animals, too.

My cat has a food intolerance to grain, not so surprising for cat, so she can’t have the treats that promote tartar control, not even the organic ones. Can anyone think of alternatives?
